Great question! Because we ship our products directly from the factory, or, from 3PL's where they have freshly arrived, sometimes you may notice a slight smell when you first open your package. This is totally normal and comes from the materials used during production and packaging.

Unlike big brands who often produce their shoes 6–12 months in advance, which then sit in warehouses for months (sometimes years) before being shipped to stores, we manufacture in smaller, fresher batches. This means your pair comes to you much sooner after production — not after gathering dust in storage.

Any initial smell is completely harmless and will disappear very quickly with typical wear or simply by airing them out for a short time.
